Executive Summary
The Executive Summary report combines information based on the state’s Comprehensive Annual Financial Report prepared in accordance with Generally accepted accounting Principles (GAAP) for government and cash basis budgetary information contained in the Traditional Budgetary Financial Report. This Executive Summary, also known by the financial community as Illinois’ popular annual financial report, is written and compiled to enhance public understanding of the state’s financial statements.
