Providing Opportunities for Work through Education and Resources
The POWER initiative is built upon three primary components that are designed to provide business owners with the tools and information they need to succeed. Specifically, the program:
- Counsels businesses on becoming certified as a small or minority-owned business and guides entrepreneurs through the procurement process
- Offers business development workshops and private sector insights to enhance small and minority-owned businesses
- Provides ongoing communication, information and support to businesses as they compete for state contracts
There are no easy answers for growing a small business, but through our POWER, entrepreneurs will receive the information, resources and counsel they need to compete for business with the State of Illinois.
