Illinois Alaska Malamute Rescue Association

All rescue Alaskan Malamutes receive the following veterinary care:

  • Spayed or neutered
  • Heartworm test and on monthly preventative all year
  • DHLPP shot
  • Rabies shot
  • Bordatella vaccine (kennel cough)
  • Microchip for identification

Also, our dogs are temperament tested. We can give you information about the dogs likes and dislikes, level of alpha behavior, and level of socialization and training.

The heavy-freighting dog of the Inuit people who inhabited the shores of the Kotzebue Sound, the Alaskan Malamute excels as an adaptable, intelligent, canine companion. A heavy-boned dog with a bulky muzzle, a broad head, wide-set ears, and a thickly-furred tail carried plume-like over the back, the Malamute is one of the most beautiful dogs on earth and, pound for pound, almost certainly the strongest.

Benny
Benny

Darling little Benny came to us all the way from Alabama. He is a malamix, on the smaller side, but is very big on personality and looks! He is simply adorable and has a smile that never quits.  He is a bundle of energy, and gets very excited, when he sees children. However, he would have to be supervised around young ones since he is so bouncy. So far he has adored every person he has met, and other dogs too!  He is about 3 years old, is very playful, and is as lovable as they come! Benny does have some special needs, so, if you are interested in Benny, please contact us.
