Humane Haven Animal Shelter
Humane Haven Animal Shelter (HHAS) is a not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization that has dedicated itself to the preservation and protection of the pets of our communities, serving as their voice, through placement of homeless pets in compatible loving homes and providing pet care awareness and education.
HHAS was founded by Carlotta and Kathy, lifetime animal lovers, experienced in working with national and local animal rescue groups and humane societies. Their dream became to provide a safe haven for their communities’ homeless pets, where the pets remain, with great effort put into ensuring their care and happiness until their forever family is found. HHAS believes that together with support of other caring people in the communities, that we can help to reduce pet overpopulation, abuse and neglect.
We require applicants live within a 1 1/2 hour drive of the shelter.

JERVIS, our big orange tabby male cat, is a real shy guy. At seven years of age, Jervis needs a quiet household, preferably with adults only. He was turned in to Animal Control because a new person moved into his house and the new person was allergic to him.

JOY is a 7 year old DSH spayed female who was turned in to Animal Control because members of her family had allergies. She is a sweet cat, gets along well with other cats & with dogs (and with people).

URSULA is a one year old torti who gave birth to 3 kittens in fall. One survived and was adopted, and now Ursula would like a home of her own. She is a small, sweet girl, plays with toys, and likes people.

Do you have an active family? Then you need an active dog! Meet Campbell, is our 1 year old female retriever mix. She is a very sweet girl who is full of playful energy and fun. Campbell would make an excellent jogging partner if you need one. She loves to play catch with a ball and she also likes to relax with a rawhide chew. She is gentle with people, but it might be wise to make her your only pet. Campbell would like children in her house to be 7 or older and she really needs a large fenced yard to run and play in. This girl loves life and she'd love to be a part of yours!!
