Friends of Chicago Animal Care and Control

The Friends of Chicago Animal Care & Control (FCACC) was founded in 2001 to help save the lives of Chicago's neediest animals - those in the City's custody at the facility at 2741 S. Western Avenue.   In addition to funding needs of the animals in the city shelter, we also save lives through our innovative foster program, which transferred 446 animals in 2010 from shelter cages to loving foster homes.  These animals might not otherwise have the opportunity for adoption due to age (young or old), health issues, injury or behavioral issues.
