Famous Fido Rescue and Adoption Alliance
Famous Fido Rescue and Adoption Alliance, located in the heart of Chicago's Andersonville Neighborhood, was founded in 1979 by Gloria Lissner, owner/operator of Happy Tails/Famous Fido's. FFRAA was specifically formed to collaborate with others to end animal homelessness & death city and state wide. Our goal is to build Chicago as a role model for both state and country, implementing a zero tolerance for using euthanasia as a solution to overcrowded animal shelters.
FFRAA rescues dogs from high kill shelters, puppy mills, and abuse situations. When you adopt a dog from FFRAA, you are actually saving 2 lives, the one you adopted and the one you are able to save who will take your new pups place at FFRAA!

Cookie is a 2 year-old female Pittie who was rescue from a drug den & is now at Famous Fido Rescue in Chicago waiting for a loving & forever home! Cookie is a sweet girl who loves people, playing ball, and going for long walks. Cookie would do best as an only pet. No cats or small dogs. Cookie comes fully vetted, spayed, and chipped.

Elmo is a young male lab mix who was rescued from the urgent list at ACC in Chicago by FFRAA. Elmo is now at Famous Fido Rescue dreaming of a loving family and a back yard to call his own! Elmo is about 12 months old and weights about 60 lbs. He is a handsome boy who loves people, long walks, and rolling around in the green grass. he is ok with other dogs his size. Elmo has spent most of his young life in a cage so he does need some training. He is fully vetted, chipped, and neutered.

Tiny is a sweet and smaller 11 month old male pittie who was rescued from the urgent list at ACC in Chicago by FFRAA and is now at our facility dreaming of a happy furever home. Tiny loves people! He is very affectionate and loves to give kisses. Tiny also likes toys. He is ok with bigger dogs. No cats or small dogs. Tiny is fully vetted, neutered, and chipped.
